Two years ago we launched the Virginia Career Works Referral Portal. We’ve been gathering feedback on how we can improve the experience and make it easier for you to use. Your feedback and ideas have helped shape the updates we’ve made to the Virginia Career Works Referral Portal including:
- Clients will only be asked three questions to start their account setup - this includes the last four of their social security, address and selection of a workforce center. Based on feedback that we were losing people from the start as they did not understand why they were being asked so many questions, we hope that removing this barrier will encourage more users to get started!
- Workforce Center specific referrals. Once an individual adds their address and selects a workforce center, they will receive a Referral specific to that workforce center. We’ve worked with 8 of the 14 regions to develop these location-specific referrals and are excited to highlight the unique attributes of each center.
- New Professional Center module to allow all workforce staff immediate access to client information.
