The referral types are developed to include language that is used within schools and organizations to make distinctions among the different types of resources available in your consortium: program, class, workshop, service, orientation, etcetera. The consortium should discuss and decide as a group how to set up, define and use Referral Types as these are set up at the consortium level and therefore any changes to these will impact everyone.
When a referral type is created, regardless of the terminology used, the user then determines if the type will require a schedule (days & times), GLE/EFL or Scaled Score Levels and AEBG Content. The Referral Type can be hidden if not immediately or currently needed and then marked visible when appropriate.
To add referral types to the Community Catalog:
- Log in to CommunityPro and select the Client Settings gearshift icon in the menu bar on the top right corner of the screen.
- Under Admin Workspace go to the Community Catalog section and click on Referral Types.
- Click on Add Referral Type.
- Enter the Referral Type Name, Label and Description and select the resource type options accordingly and once complete, click on Save Referral Type.
- Users can edit resources by clicking on the Edit icon indicated as a pencil on paper.
- Users can delete referral types by clicking on the Delete icon indicated by a trash can.
Note: Making changes to referral types will impact all locations.
