Badges are a great way to acknowledge and display skills you have gained through other types of learning rather than within the traditional classroom. By combining your badges with other accreditations you present a more complete picture of your skills and competencies to others. Your digital badge is an online, shareable record of your achievement that not only shows your skill/competency but also the work you completed.
The first thing to do is accept your badge through the email you receive. This will require you to create an account within the Acclaim platform if you do not have one already. Once within the Acclaim platform, click “Accept”. From here, you can share your badge in a variety of ways, such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, or by email.
By accepting your digital badge you can:
- Validate and verify your skills and competencies
- Connect to job boards
- Share your badge on social media
Through Acclaim, you can also find job openings, labor market insights and additional digital credentials that match the skills you have or the skills you wish to develop. These can be filtered and refined to help you in your search. Check out this article for more details.
