The two versions of PAIRIN’s curriculum can be used in a blended learning approach. A few suggestions for blending the classroom and online curricula are provided below:
- OPTION 01: Use the classroom curriculum for skills which would benefit the whole group, especially for skills which are more challenging. This allows for more hands-on support. Additionally, use online curriculum to provide more personalized learning. Using available devices, (laptops, iPads, etc.), assign different online courses to learners based on their individual needs. Do this in-person so that learners can still ask questions or get clarification as needed.
- OPTION 02: Use the classroom curriculum in the same way as described in the suggestion above. However, instead of having learners complete the online courses in class, assign different online curriculum courses to learners as homework, based on their individual needs. Have them complete these courses on their own devices, on their own time. Have them email questions or bring questions the next time the class meets in person. Continue to provide support as needed.
- OPTION 03: Using available devices, assign learners online curriculum courses to complete in class. Provide support as needed. As learners complete each lesson within a course, use the print materials from the classroom curriculum to facilitate the practice activities in person, with the whole group, rather than having students complete them independently online.
