What is My Resume? 

My Resume is an AI-powered resume and cover letter creation tool to help you showcase your experience and align your resume to desired jobs to land more interviews. 

Creating a resume or cover letter can be daunting for many individuals, regardless of their age or experience level. My Resume is designed to streamline your resume and cover letter creation process.

What makes My Resume unique or useful?

This innovative technology is tailored to assist adult learners and job seekers in building persuasive resumes that adhere to industry standards and can be customized for each specific job application.

My Resume includes feedback and insight tools, including

• a resume score where you can score each resume for specific recommendations on how to improve it based on industry best practices
• field-by-field explanations for what the field is
• field-by-field Tips & Tricks so you can add details that strengthen your resume

The feedback enhances the strength of the resume for success and fosters professional writing skills development.

How do I create a resume?

When creating a resume, you have the option to upload existing resumes or start from scratch using a user-friendly step-by-step interface to add in work experience, education, and/or skills and awards.

If you upload a resume, it will populate the fields based on the upload. Some minor editing may be needed to confirm the text pulled in, particularly if the format was not previously Applicant Tracking System (ATS) -friendly. 

If you prefer to build your resume from scratch, the step-by-step approach to add resume elements make it easy for you to build a resume like a pro. 

You can create multiple resumes and keep them saved within the application. Simply click My Resumes and then Create New Resume to generate a resume. 

When you want to generate a new resume tailored to a specific job description, click My Resumes and then Create New Resume, and then select "Yes" when it asks if you're building this resume for a particular job. If you don't have a particular job description, you can click "No" and proceed with creating the resume without considering a particular job. 

When using a particular job description, the AI algorithm uses your educational background, work experience, skills, and awards to generate multiple tailored resumes and cover letters for your desired job opportunities. 

   

Here's an example resume that was created based on a "Financial Analyst - FP&A - Entry Level" job description. 

Can someone provide comments on my resume or cover letter?

Job seekers can also share their resumes or cover letters with others to review and provide comprehensive feedback, either with direct comments or by using pre-existing templates. The job seeker or adult learner receives notifications to review the feedback, fostering an iterative learning process.

How do I create a cover letter?

My Resume also includes cover letter creation, providing a modular or section-by-section approach that facilitates easy customization for diverse job applications.

After clicking Cover Letters, click Paragraphs, then Add Paragraph to build different paragraphs that can makeup your cover letter(s). Navigate from Opener, to Body, to Closer, to Signature, to Other to add paragraphs. 

Within each, an AI feature assists you in populating essential details and selecting relevant content, resulting in professionally crafted cover letters that adhere to industry standards with a modern design. 

This integrated solution empowers you to present a clear and and compelling narrative to potential employers, enhancing their chances for employment success.
