ROI dashboard overview
This analysis compares the impact of completion of different postsecondary CTE programs in Florida on students’ labor market activity and social benefits consumption. The outcomes analyzed include:
The analysis in this dashboard uses regression-adjusted averages controlling for demographic indicators and pre-enrollment labor market history. These controls include:
In the Earnings and SNAP/TANF measures, for each postsecondary CTE program, we calculate the average of each outcome among all program completers of that program after adjusting for the listed controls.
For example, 100% indicates program completers historically earned the average; 90% indicates program completers earned 10% below the average and 110% indicates program completers historically earned 10% above the average.
Therefore, the analysis compares the outcomes of students across different postsecondary CTE programs; It does not compare individuals in postsecondary CTE to a comparison group who were not enrolled in any CTE program.
When we measure the impact of a program, that impact is relative to the average postsecondary CTE program, not relative to a scenario where a student instead did not enroll in CTE.
The Employment and Continuing Education measures are expressed as the percentage of Postsecondary CTE program completers and are not compared to the average.
In the outcome analyses, color shading is used to denote the number of observations found for enrollment in each postsecondary CTE program. Darker colors represent a greater number of observations. A greater number of observations allows for more confidence in the estimated outcome result for that postsecondary CTE program.
